Ramagiri Fort in Telangana, India, is a historic hilltop fort built in the 12th century by the Kakatiya dynasty, spreading across a large area of Ramagiri hills surrounded by dense forest known for medicinal plants. The fort has octagonal bastions and high walls made of stone, equipped historically with forge-welded cannons. It changed hands through different rulers including the Bahmani Sultanate, Qutub Shahi dynasty, Mughals, and the British.

The site contains several structures like temples dedicated to Lord Rama and Sita, mosques, royal courts, stables, and many wells with unique names. Local legends link the fort area to the Pandavas of the Mahabharata epic and the poet Kalidasa, who is said to have been inspired here. The fort combines historical significance, architectural strength, and natural beauty, making it an important cultural site in Telangana.
