Ras Muhammad National Park, near Sharm El-Sheikh in South Sinai, Egypt, is the country's first national park, established in 1983 to safeguard a unique 480-square-kilometer zone where the Gulf of Suez meets the Gulf of Aqaba, blending desert landscapes with one of the world's richest marine ecosystems.

Spanning rugged mountains, sand dunes, wadis, mangrove forests, and coastal plains on land, it protects diverse wildlife like foxes, gazelles, ibexes, and migratory birds, while its underwater realm boasts over 220 coral species, 1,000 fish varieties, starfish, crustaceans, sea turtles, and sharks across vibrant fringing reefs. 

Renowned as a diver's paradise with sites like Shark Reef and Yolanda, the park draws visitors for snorkeling, hiking, and beholding natural wonders such as the magical "magic lake" with therapeutic salt waters and fossil-strewn bays, all under strict conservation to preserve its biodiversity.
