Ratanpur Fort in Chhattisgarh, India, was built in the 11th century by the Kalachuri king Ratnadeva I and served as the capital of the Kalachuri dynasty.

The fort has a rich history marked by battles and political significance in the region. Its architecture features an irregular octagonal star shape with strong walls, two main entrances including a five-storied gate flanked by towers, and four bastions.

Inside the fort are important structures such as a temple dedicated to the deity Ratneshwar (a form of Shiva), a palace, and several water tanks, one of which is believed to contain medicinal water. Though much of the fort is in ruins today, it offers a glimpse into the grandeur of the former kingdom with relics like the Singh Dwar (Lion Gate) and the Ganesh Dwar adorned with idols of Ganesha.
