Rohida Fort, also called Vichitragad Fort, is located near Bhor in Pune district, Maharashtra, standing approximately 3,600 feet above sea level in the Sahyadri mountain range.

Built during the Yadava dynasty in the 12th century, it was repaired by Mohammed Adil Shah in the mid-1600s. The fort was captured by Shivaji Maharaj in 1656 from the local Bandal-Deshmukh rulers, who later joined the Maratha Swarajya movement. Under the Treaty of Purandar in 1665, Rohida was handed to the Mughals but was recaptured by Shivaji in 1670.

The fort later came under Mughal control before being held by the Pant Sachiv family of Bhor State until Indian independence. Rohida Fort features three main gates adorned with carvings and inscriptions, rock-cut water cisterns, a well-preserved temple dedicated to Rohidamalla, and several bastions.

The trekking route from Bajarwadi village is safe and moderately easy, making it a popular destination for history enthusiasts and trekkers seeking scenic views of the surrounding hills and valleys.
