Rohtasgarh Fort in Rohtas, Bihar, India, is a vast fortification with a history that dates back to possibly the 7th century, originally established by the Pratihara dynasty and later strengthened and expanded by Sher Shah Suri in the 16th century.

The fort is renowned for its impressive architecture, blending Muslim military design with South Asian traditions, featuring massive walls extending over 4 kilometers, 68 bastion towers, twelve monumental gates including the famous Hathiya Pol (Elephant Gate), and intricate decorative elements such as high-relief carvings and calligraphic inscriptions.

It served as a strategic military stronghold controlling vital routes, and housed palaces like Takht-e-Badshahi built by Raja Man Singh, reflecting the region's rich royal heritage. The fort also contains religious sites like the Jami Masjid and the mausoleum of Habsh Khan.
