Roopangarh Fort, built in 1648 by Maharaja Roop Singh of Kishangarh, is a historic fortress located atop a hill near the town of Roopangarh in Rajasthan, India.

Strategically positioned to oversee and protect the vital trade route leading to the Sambhar Salt Lake, the fort served as a defensive stronghold and royal residence. It features a blend of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles, with sturdy walls, imposing bastions, majestic gates, and ornate palaces within its complex.

Over time, Roopangarh developed into a flourishing town known for its artisans and manufacturers. In 1999, the fort was converted into a heritage hotel that retains much of its original royal charm, including richly decorated interiors, vast royal suites, and panoramic views of the surrounding Aravalli hills and salt flats.

Today, it stands as a beautifully preserved monument reflecting Rajasthan’s royal history, architecture, and culture, offering guests an immersive experience of regal living amidst a serene and historical setting.
