Sabalgarh Fort in Madhya Pradesh, India, is a historic hill fort established in the 16th to 17th century by Gurjar chieftain Sabal Singh, who also lent his name to the surrounding town.

Built in the Rajasthani style, the fort features three main gates, a 1,800-meter outer fortification wall, 12 bastions, and five gateways connecting various sections. Inside the fort are temples—including the Jagannath Temple—palaces such as the Nawal Singh Haveli, royal court buildings, stables, and wells for water.

The fortress was strategically located with natural defenses from dense forests and the Chambal River nearby. Over the centuries, it has seen the reign of various rulers and carries legends of hauntings.

Despite suffering structural damage, the fort remains an important cultural and architectural monument illustrating medieval military planning and Rajput heritage in central India.
