Gajawadi, Maharashtra, India

Sajjangad Fort, located near Satara in Maharashtra, is a historic and spiritual site originally built by the Bahmani rulers between 1347-1527.

The fort gained prominence when Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj captured it on April 2, 1673, renaming it from Parali to Sajjangad, meaning "Fort of Good People."
