Siwana Fort, located in the Barmer district of Rajasthan, was constructed in the 10th century by Vir Narayan Parmar, the son of the renowned Raja Bhoj of the Paramara dynasty.

The fort stands atop a hill and has significant historical importance, having witnessed numerous battles and sieges due to its strategic location. It served as an emergency capital and was a bastion of Rajput resistance against various invasions, including those by Alauddin Khilji in the early 14th century.

The fort is known for the bravery of local rulers like Sitala Deva and Kalyan Das, whose sacrifices are commemorated by the local community. Though currently in ruins, Siwana Fort offers insight into medieval fort architecture with remains of walls, gates, and water storage systems visible. Its high vantage point provides panoramic views of the surrounding Aravalli hills and desert landscape.
