Studland is a small village and civil parish located on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset, England, just about two miles north of Swanage and near the entrance to Poole Harbour.

It sits in the lee of Ballard Down overlooking Studland Bay, a curved stretch of sandy beaches backed by dunes and heathland. The area is known for its natural beauty, with some of the largest and most ecologically important heathlands and sand dunes in southern Britain, managed partly by the National Trust. Studland Bay features multiple beaches including South Beach, Middle Beach, and Knoll Beach, with gently shelving waters making the beaches popular for families and water sports.

Behind the beaches lies Studland Heath, a national nature reserve known for its diversity of wildlife, including all six native British reptiles, rare birds such as nightjars and Dartford warblers, and unique plants. The village and its surroundings offer a blend of coastal charm, wildlife habitat, and scenic landscapes with features like Old Harry Rocks nearby, a well-known chalk sea stack formation.

The area also supports various natural processes of coastal accretion and dune formation, enhancing its ecological significance within the Dorset coastline and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.​
