Takemori Garden
Kumakogen, Japan, Japan
Takemori Garden is a grape-picking orchard located at an altitude of 650 meters in Kumakogen Town, Kamiukena District, Ehime Prefecture, on the island of Shikoku in Japan, and it is the only fruit farm in Kumakogen Town that offers grape tasting/picking experiences. The garden specializes in juicy grapes with perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, particularly the "Beniizu" (Red Jewel) variety, and also grows rare varieties like "Shinanoh Smile" that are uncommon in the Shikoku region. During the grape picking season, visitors can freely taste grapes in the orchard and pay only for the grapes they pick to take home at the checkout station, with the farm open daily except on Wednesdays and Thursdays during the season (Monday-Tuesday-Friday: 10:00-17:00, Saturday-Sunday-Holidays: 9:00-17:00). The orchard has rain-protective houses so grape picking is enjoyable even on rainy days, and it sells 100% grape juice made from their own Pioneer grapes and Cabernet Sauvignon at its on-site direct sales store during the season. The garden is located at 209-39 B eachinohara, Shimohatanokawa, Kumakogen-cho, with parking available (4 spaces on-site and additional parking at the partner farm), and can be reached via car navigation by entering either the address or "Takemori Garden".
