Toyama Castle (Toyama‑jō) is a flatland‑style Japanese castle in the center of Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture, on the site of the former stronghold of the Toyama branch of the Maeda clan, one of the main Edo‑period lords of the region.

Built around 1543, the castle was repeatedly destroyed by fire and earthquakes over the centuries, and after the Meiji Restoration it was dismantled in 1870, leaving only moats, stone walls and a few gates such as the historic Chiyoda Gate as original remains. Today the castle is maintained as Toyama Castle Ruins Park, a public park with spacious lawns, gardens, and a large moat lined with cherry trees that make it a popular spot for spring cherry blossom viewing.

The only prominent building is a four‑story, three‑layer reconstructed main keep rebuilt in 1954 from concrete to faithfully reproduce the external appearance of the original keep. Inside the keep, the castle houses the Toyama Municipal Folk Museum (Toyama City Local History Museum), which presents exhibits on the history of Toyama Castle and the city from the Sengoku period through the Edo period and modern times, and the Sato Memorial Art Museum, which displays a collection of tea‑ceremony utensils, local crafts, ceramics, and other artworks, while the top floor functions as an observation deck giving a panoramic view of the city and the surrounding area.
