Ventnor Botanic Garden on the Isle of Wight in the United Kingdom was founded in 1970 by Sir Harold Hillier and gifted to the Isle of Wight Council.

It occupies the grounds of the former Royal National Hospital for Diseases of the Chest, which used the area's unique microclimate to aid patient recovery in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The garden benefits from a mild Mediterranean-like climate, making it possible to grow a wide variety of temperate and subtropical plants from around the world, including collections from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Japan.

The garden features historic areas like the 19th-century Walled Garden and Long Border, as well as a Tropical House showcasing giant Amazonian waterlilies. It supports diverse wildlife, including some unusual species for the UK such as wall lizards and red squirrels, by fostering a near-natural ecosystem.

Ventnor also offers guided tours through Victorian-era tunnels leading to dramatic sea views, a heritage center explaining the garden and hospital history, and numerous family-friendly activities. Its sustainable gardening practices, known as the Ventnor Method, focus on biodiversity and ecosystem resilience, making it a unique site of botanical interest and heritage on the island.
