Vijaygad Fort, located near the village of Tavasal in Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra, is a small coastal fort situated north of the more prominent Jaigad Fort.

Built as part of a network to control the trade route over the Shastri River creek, it stands on a hilltop overlooking the Arabian Sea. The fort covers about one acre and is surrounded by a ditch on three sides, making it a secure defensive outpost. By 1862, the fort was largely in ruins with only one gun left and no permanent water source, suggesting its past use was likely limited to a watchtower or a small military station.

Access is relatively easy via a motorable road leading to its entrance gate near Tavasal village, and visitors can explore the fort within about ten minutes. What remains today are a bastion, scattered fortifications, and some ruins hidden under dense vegetation.

The fort is less known compared to others in the region but holds strategic significance for those interested in the maritime history of Maharashtra's Konkan coast.
