Weddell Island is the third-largest island in the Falkland Islands archipelago, a British Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic, covering 265.8 km² west of West Falkland with over 100 miles of rugged coastline and Mount Weddell rising to 383 meters.

Privately owned and operated as a sheep farm with around 5,600 sheep and 28 cattle, its sole settlement—Weddell Settlement—houses a handful of residents who also support tourism via a pier, airstrip, and guided wildlife walks.

Renowned as a Key Biodiversity Area and Important Plant Area hosting over 60% of Falklands native flora plus penguins, seals, dolphins, and introduced Patagonian grey foxes, it offers pristine tussac grasslands, stone runs, and birdwatching opportunities accessible mainly by boat or FIGAS flights.
