Yadgir Fort, also known as Yetagiri, is a large hill fortress located in Yadgir, Karnataka, built atop a massive 100-meter tall monolith.

Believed to have been originally constructed by the Western Chalukya Empire and later strengthened by the Yadava rulers, it showcases a blend of architectural styles reflecting its diverse history under rulers such as the Bahmani Sultanate, Adil Shahi dynasty, and the Nizams.

The fort features three rounds of fortifications, massive cannons, several ancient Hindu temples including Bhavani and Ramalingeshwara temples, a medieval mosque, and ruins of palace and barracks. It also has sophisticated water management with wells, canals, and twin stepwells.

Its strategic location offers commanding panoramic views of the surrounding plains and town below, making it not only a historical monument but a significant site of cultural heritage in Karnataka. Visitors typically spend 2-3 hours exploring its diverse structures and enjoying the views.​
