Arandora Portuguese Fort was a small Portuguese stronghold in Sri Lanka that later came under Dutch control and was used to help protect the road and military route toward Kandy. It began as a base camp, then became a defensive fortification because of its strategic hill-country location. Today, it is remembered as a mostly lost or ruined colonial fort, with little visible remaining above ground.
