Boti Waterfalls
Eastern Region, Ghana
Boti Waterfalls in the Eastern Region of Ghana is a beautiful twin waterfall located near the town of Boti, within the Huhunya forest. The falls cascade from two rivers and are locally considered as male (the larger fall) and female (the smaller fall), with a legend that when they merge, a rainbow forms, symbolizing their "mating."
The waterfalls drop about 30 meters into a pool, making it a popular spot for swimming and relaxation. Accessible by descending roughly 250 concrete steps, the falls create a stunning natural canyon during the rainy season, typically from June to August, when water flow is at its peak. Boti Falls is surrounded by lush greenery and offers opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, and enjoying the forest environment.
It is located about 17 kilometers northeast of Koforidua, the regional capital, and remains one of the most visited natural attractions in the region. The site holds cultural significance locally and is appreciated for its scenic beauty and tranquil atmosphere year-round.
