Burgruine Lägern, also known as Ruine Alt-Lägern, is a medieval castle ruin perched at 866 meters above sea level on the Lägern mountain ridge in Boppelsen, canton of Zurich, Switzerland.
Built between 1244 and 1246 by Baron Lutold V as a residence for the Knights of Lägern, the rectangular structure measuring 67 by 20 meters was destroyed before 1300 amid regional conflicts and now features moss-covered walls and foundations uncovered during 1902-1904 excavations.
Classified as a Class B Swiss cultural property, it represents regional medieval architecture and serves as a hiking destination with nearby trails and a barbecue area.
