Château de Pregny, also known as the Rothschild Castle, is a grand 19th-century estate in the municipality of Pregny-Chambésy in the canton of Geneva, Switzerland, overlooking Lake Geneva.
Built between 1858 and 1860 by Swiss banker Adolphe Carl de Rothschild with designs by English architect Joseph Paxton, it features Neo-Louis XVI style architecture, lavish interiors, expansive parks, conservatories, and greenhouses that were later donated to Geneva's botanical gardens.
Passed down through the Rothschild family, including Maurice and Edmond de Rothschild, it served as a residence and hosted League of Nations meetings, remaining a Swiss heritage site of national significance recently acquired by the canton.
