Featuring distinctive corner towers of varying designs, an inner courtyard, and original tuff stone walls, it passed through noble families like the Greilly before Bernese acquisition in 1536, later serving as a private residence under the Steiger family until municipal ownership in 1798.
Today, this Swiss heritage site houses a historical library and cultural events, offering panoramic lake views amid the town's vineyards.
