Crest Castle
Jussy, Switzerland, Switzerland
Crest Castle, or Château du Crest, is a medieval fortress in the municipality of Jussy in the canton of Geneva, Switzerland.
Built around 1220 on lands owned by the Bishop of Geneva, it was managed by noble families like de Compesières and de Rovorée before being destroyed in the 1590s amid Reformation conflicts between Geneva and Savoy.
Rebuilt by French Huguenot nobleman Agrippa d'Aubigné with fortifications including towers, a drawbridge, and moat despite Geneva's restrictions, it passed to the Micheli family in 1637, who own it today; now a wine-producing estate, it holds Swiss heritage site status.
