Officially named Güdübeş but popularly called Yaka after a nearby former village, it was constructed by Crusaders during the 12th-13th centuries, with some sources noting Roman origins and later Byzantine and Crusader influences.
The site features typical medieval defensive architecture and stands as a lesser-known historical remnant amid the region's rugged terrain.
