Lausanne Cathedral, located in Lausanne, Switzerland, is the largest Gothic church in the country and an architectural masterpiece built mainly between the late 12th and early 13th centuries. Consecrated in 1275 in the presence of Pope Gregory X and Emperor Rudolf of Habsburg, it symbolizes both religious and historical significance in the region. The cathedral features classic Gothic design with a triple nave, vaulted ceilings, and a tall belfry that visitors can climb for panoramic views of the city.

Over its history, the cathedral underwent changes during the Protestant Reformation when much of its original art was covered or removed, and it was later restored in the 19th century by renowned architect Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, who added the current 80-meter spire. Inside, notable highlights include a rare 13th-century painted portal, vibrant stained glass windows, and a unique American-designed pipe organ.
