Neuburg
Winterthur, Switzerland
Neuburg is a quarter in the Wülflingen district of Winterthur, Canton of Zurich, Switzerland, formerly part of the independent Wülflingen municipality until its incorporation into Winterthur in 1922, named after a long-lost medieval castle called Neuburg perched on a hill above the village.
The castle, dating back to the early Middle Ages, has vanished almost entirely by the 16th century, leaving only faint traces of its moats and a small section of wall visible today at the site now known as Hoh-Wülflingen.
This historic area contributes to Winterthur's rich heritage landscape amid its industrial and cultural prominence in northeastern Switzerland.
