Constructed between 1698 and 1701 as a summer residence for François-Philippe de Lanthen-Heid, it pioneered Neo-Palladian architecture north of the Alps, featuring elegant symmetry, a grand salon with Baroque stucco, and terraced gardens redesigned in 1914.
Recognized as a Swiss heritage site of national significance, it now hosts official receptions and events while overlooking the Sarine River valley.
