The Reformierte Kirche St. Arbogast in Muttenz, Switzerland, is Switzerland's only fortified church, surrounded by a 7-meter-high defensive wall with gate towers built around 1435 by the Lords of Münch-Eptingen.

Dating back to the 8th century and named after Strasbourg's first bishop, its Romanesque core from the mid-12th century features a rectangular choir rebuilt after the 1356 Basel earthquake, preserved frescoes from 1507 depicting the saint's legend and biblical scenes, and a bell tower expanded in 1630.

Recognized as a cultural property of national significance, the site includes a charnel house with frescoes and served as a refuge after nearby Wartenberg castles fell, blending sacred architecture with medieval defense.
