Riga Cathedral (Rīgas Doms), officially known as the Cathedral Church of Saint Mary, is one of the most important landmarks in Riga and the largest medieval church in the Baltic States. Founded in 1211 by Albert of Riga, the cathedral has served as a major religious and cultural center for more than eight centuries and is the seat of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia.
