Alt-Regensberg Castle, also known as Altburg, is a historic hilltop ruin located near Regensdorf in the canton of Zurich, Switzerland, dating back to around the mid-11th century.
Built by the powerful House of Regensberg, possibly initiated by Lütold von Affoltern around 1044, it underwent multiple construction phases through the 12th to 15th centuries, including expansions by the Landenberg-Greifensee family, before declining after sales to the city of Zurich in 1407.
The site features remnants of robust stone walls, a keep, and a hexagonal layout, offering visitors panoramic views and insights into medieval Swiss nobility history from archaeological excavations in the 1950s.
