Salenegg Castle is a historic medieval manor house in the municipality of Maienfeld, Graubünden canton, Switzerland, with foundations dating back to around 950 AD when the abbot of Pfäfers Monastery established a vineyard and early structure there.
Renamed Salenegg by 1594 and owned by the Gugelberg von Moos family since 1654, it features a prominent tower gate and serves as Europe's oldest continuously operating winery, producing acclaimed wines from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and other varieties on its terraced slopes.
Recognized as a Swiss heritage site of national significance, the well-preserved castle blends architectural tradition with modern viticulture, offering tastings amid the scenic Bündner Herrschaft wine region.
