Schloss Hegi is a medieval castle in Winterthur, canton of Zurich, Switzerland, first mentioned in 1225 and built around 1200 as a moated fortress by the ministerials of Hegi for the Bishopric of Constance.
It passed through noble families like the Hohenlandenberg and Hallwyl before Zurich administered it from 1587 to 1798, underwent restorations in the early 20th century, and was acquired by the city of Winterthur in 1947.
Today, this Swiss heritage site of national significance operates as a museum showcasing historical interiors, frescoes, and artifacts, while hosting cultural events and featuring a traditional vegetable garden.
