Schloss Jegenstorf is a Baroque castle in the municipality of Jegenstorf in Switzerland's Canton of Bern, first mentioned in 1175 as a medieval moated fortress.
Transformed in 1720 by Albrecht Friedrich von Erlach into an elegant French Baroque summer residence with extensive parklands, it passed through noble families before opening to the public in 1934 as a museum showcasing 18th-century Swiss tiled stoves, furniture, and Bernese portraits.
Recognized as a Swiss heritage site of national significance, it hosted General Henri Guisan's command post in 1944 and Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie in 1954, now offering guided tours and events amid its idyllic grounds.
