Schloss Mörsburg
Winterthur, Switzerland, Switzerland
Schloss Mörsburg is a small medieval hilltop castle just east of Winterthur in the canton of Zurich, known for its panoramic views over the surrounding countryside and vineyards.
First mentioned in 1241 as a possession of the Counts of Kyburg, it was later held by noble families such as the Habsburgs and gradually transformed from a fortress into a more comfortable residence.
Today it is a listed cultural monument of national importance and houses a museum that displays domestic furnishings, ceramics, glassware, and weapons mainly from the 17th and 18th centuries, offering visitors an atmospheric glimpse into regional history in an intimate, less touristy setting.
