Schloss Schauenstein is a historic 17th-century castle in Fürstenau, Graubünden canton, Switzerland, originally built between 1667 and 1676 by Baron Johann Rudolf von Schauenstein as a manor atop medieval defensive foundations.

Passing through noble families like Planta before serving as a boarding school and artist residence, it was transformed in 2003 by chef Andreas Caminada into a three-Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant and intimate hotel with nine rooms, emphasizing hyper-local ingredients from on-site gardens.

Recently redesigned by Space Copenhagen to blend its ivy-clad stone heritage with contemporary elegance using natural materials like oak and wool, it remains a celebrated destination for culinary excellence amid the Domleschg Valley's alpine scenery.
