Schloss Wildegg, part of Museum Aargau in Möriken-Wildegg, Switzerland, is a 13th-century castle originally built by the Habsburgs as a fortress with a prominent main tower, first documented in 1242.

It passed through various hands, including the Lords of Hallwyl, before being acquired in 1483 by the Effinger family, who owned it for eleven generations until 1912, transforming it from a medieval stronghold into a Baroque manor around 1700 with extensive gardens replacing fortifications after a 1552 fire.

Bequeathed to the Swiss Confederation by Julie von Effinger, it opened as a residential museum in 1917 showcasing aristocratic life circa 1800 through 37 furnished rooms, talking portraits of former residents, and preserved estate elements like a Baroque kitchen garden, rose garden, organic farm, and vineyards, earning status as a Swiss heritage site of national significance now managed by Museum Aargau.
