Schloss Willisau
Willisau, Switzerland, Switzerland
Schloss Willisau, known as the Landvogteischloss or Bailiff's Castle, is a prominent Baroque residence built between 1690 and 1695 in the town of Willisau, canton of Lucerne, Switzerland.
Commissioned by Lucerne's bailiff Franz Bernhard Feer as his administrative seat and home, it features impressive stucco work, wood paneling, and paintings on its lower floors, adjoining the medieval Kutzenturm from the town's 14th-15th century fortifications.
Recognized as a heritage site of national significance amid Willisau's preserved old town, the castle symbolizes central Switzerland's Baroque secular architecture and now hosts cultural events overlooking the historic center.
