Wasserschloss Hagenwil, also known as Hagenwil Castle, is the only intact moated castle remaining in eastern Switzerland, located near Amriswil in Canton Thurgau.

First mentioned in 1264 when Rudolf von Hagenwil donated it to St. Gallen Abbey, it survived sieges like those in the Appenzell Wars of 1405 and a Swedish attack during the Thirty Years' War in 1633, later serving as a summer residence for abbey abbots with additions like a great hall in the 1780s.

Acquired by the Angehrn family in 1805 after the abbey's dissolution, it has stayed in their ownership for seven generations, undergoing restorations while operating as a restaurant and event venue within its square complex featuring a 13th-century main tower, ring walls, and a 3.2-meter-deep moat, recognized as a Swiss heritage site of national significance.
