Verified Audru Park

Audru, Pärnu County, Estonia, Estonia

Audru Park is a protected heritage park surrounding the historic Audru Manor complex in Audru small borough, Pärnu municipality, Pärnu County, southwestern Estonia, and covers 16.3 hectares according to current records.

The park was laid out in the 19th century as part of the Audru manor estate, which has belonged to the Pilar von Pilchau family since the start of the 19th century, and the park itself has been under monument protection since 1958. The park is beautifully situated on both banks of the Audru River, featuring a park forest on the right bank that contains a World War II memorial for fallen soldiers, and the river has been dammed to create a recreational area with islands and ponds crossed by four picturesque bridges.

The manor complex includes 14 relatively well-preserved buildings, with the oldest being a stone barn with a high saddle roof and walls over a meter thick, plus a natural stone distillery with a tall chimney, a granary, and the manager's house that now houses the Audru Museum. The park is ideal for quiet walks and picnics, offers a modern singer's stage for events, and is open year-round 24 hours with free access, located at Pärna allee 14a in Audru.
