Vääna Manor is one of Estonia’s most notable historic manor estates, located in the village of Vääna about 20 kilometers west of Tallinn.

The site was first recorded in 1325 and originally included a fortified manor or small castle, traces of which can still be seen in the surrounding park. The present manor house was built between 1784 and 1797 for the Baltic German von Stackelberg family in an elegant late Baroque style. It is known for its distinctive architecture, decorative interiors, and landscaped park, which includes romantic artificial ruins added during the 19th century.

The manor was once home to the noted archaeologist Otto Magnus von Stackelberg and remains an important cultural landmark. Today, the building serves as a school and library, while the estate continues to attract visitors interested in Estonia’s history, architecture, and manor heritage.
