The Botanic Garden Zuidas in Amsterdam is a compact but diverse botanical garden located in the Zuidas business district, affiliated with Vrije Universiteit.

Established in 1967 for educational and research purposes, it now serves as a peaceful green oasis in the busy city area, home to over 6,000 plant species, including collections of cacti, succulents, bonsai trees, tropical orchids, and bamboo.

The garden features a Chinese miniature landscape called the Penjing Garden, a greenhouse with the largest cactus collection in the Netherlands, and spaces showcasing Australian trees and epiphytic orchids. It is open to the public on weekdays and during weekends in the warmer months, with no admission fee, attracting visitors who enjoy its tranquil environment, plant variety, and serenity away from the hustle of Amsterdam’s urban life.
