The Dnipropetrovsk National University Botanic Garden, founded in 1930 in the city of Dnipro, Ukraine, was established by Professor Oleksandr Fomin, then Head of the Department of Plant Physiology.

It covers around 27 hectares in the city center and functions as a major scientific, educational, and conservation center. The garden hosts diverse collections of plants from different climate zones, including native Ukrainian species and exotic plants. It provides facilities for botanical research, environmental education, and public recreation, with sections such as ornamental gardens, arboretum, and greenhouses.

The garden contributes significantly to regional biodiversity preservation and offers visitors a natural retreat within the urban setting while supporting university-level botanical studies and community engagement.
