Kasteel De Kinkelenburg in Bemmel, Netherlands, originated around 1300 as a medieval fortified house or jachtslot of the Counts of Gelre, first documented in 1403 when Johan van Aemb held it as a fief with a moat and waterways, featuring a square stone tower-house whose foundations remain beneath the current structure.

Evolving through the 14th-16th centuries with a narrow wing, poortje, and wall-enclosed hof amid owners like the Van Munster and Van Randwijck families, it gained an 18th-century Renaissance west wing under Carl Christiaan van Oven, plastering in the 19th century, and post-WWII restoration by the municipality after wartime hospital use and decay.

Now owned by the former Bemmel municipality and serving primarily as a wedding venue in the village center's picturesque gracht setting, it reflects centuries of Betuwe history from Roman-Batavian legends to modern preservation.
