Keila-Joa castle Schloss Fall
Keila-Joa, Estonia, Estonia
Keila-Joa Castle, also known as Schloss Fall, is a striking neo-Gothic manor located near Tallinn in the village of Keila-Joa.
Built in 1833, the castle stands beside the scenic Keila River and the picturesque Keila-Joa Waterfall, one of Estonia’s most beautiful natural landmarks. The estate became an important cultural and social gathering place in the 19th century and was closely associated with the Russian Empire.
It is especially known as the location where the anthem of the Russian Empire, “God Save the Tsar!”, was first performed for Tsar Nicholas I. After a major restoration completed in the 2010s, Schloss Fall was revived as a museum, boutique hotel, restaurant, and event venue. Today, visitors come to admire its historic architecture, elegant interiors, landscaped park, and stunning riverside setting, making it one of Estonia’s most attractive manor estates.
