Keukenhof, nestled in the town of Lisse in South Holland, is a dazzling celebration of spring and one of the most iconic floral destinations in the world. Known as the “Garden of Europe,” it spans 32 hectares and bursts into bloom each year with over seven million flower bulbs, transforming the landscape into a kaleidoscope of tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, and countless other varieties.

The garden’s origins trace back to the 15th century when the land served as a kitchen garden for the nearby Teylingen Castle. Its modern incarnation began in 1949 as a showcase for Dutch floriculture, and it has since become a global symbol of horticultural artistry. Open to the public for just eight weeks each spring, Keukenhof draws more than a million visitors annually, all eager to witness the spectacle of color and fragrance.

The park is meticulously designed with themed gardens, winding paths, tranquil ponds, and pavilions named after Dutch royalty, each hosting rotating floral exhibitions.
