Csókakő Castle is a medieval fortress perched on a rocky hill above the village of Csókakő in Fejér County, western Hungary.

Built in the late 13th century, it occupied a strategic position overlooking important regional routes and served as a defensive stronghold for centuries. The castle passed through the hands of several prominent Hungarian noble families and later played a role in the conflicts between Hungary and the Ottoman Empire.

After nearby Székesfehérvár fell to the Ottomans, the castle was occupied by Turkish forces in 1544 and remained under their control for much of the next 150 years before being liberated in 1687. Following the end of Ottoman rule, the fortress gradually lost its military importance and fell into ruin. Modern restoration projects have rebuilt parts of the walls, towers, gate, and interior spaces, helping to preserve the site and bring its history to life.

Today, Csókakő Castle is one of the most notable historic landmarks in the Vértes Mountains. Visitors can explore its restored sections and enjoy panoramic views over the Mór Basin and the surrounding countryside.
