The Esterházy Castle in Kapuvár is a historic Baroque residence located in the town center of Kapuvár in northwestern Hungary.

Built around the mid-18th century and associated with the influential Esterházy family, the castle stands on the site of an earlier fortified manor and reflects the region’s aristocratic heritage. Over the centuries, the building underwent several alterations and adapted to changing needs. Following World War II, it survived a period of uncertainty and was eventually preserved and restored for public use.

Today, the castle serves as an important cultural and administrative center. It houses the Rábaköz Museum, which presents the history, folk traditions, and cultural heritage of the surrounding region, along with other public institutions. Although more modest than the famous Esterházy palaces elsewhere in Hungary, the Kapuvár castle remains a significant local landmark, valued for its architecture, historical importance, and connection to one of Hungary’s most prominent noble families.
