Sopron Botanical Garden is a 17.2-hectare protected nature reserve on the University of Sopron campus in Sopron, Hungary, established in 1923 from earlier military grounds and expanded post-WWII.
It features around 4,000 plant taxa including 1,500 evergreens, with themed sections like alpine rock gardens, continental species displays, conifers, firs, spruces, junipers, and deciduous trees from Hungary and Europe.
Maintained by the university's Faculty of Forestry for education, research, and tourism, it offers walking paths, an educational trail, statues, a renovated greenhouse, and the Ligneum Visitor Centre focused on wood and forests.
