Sztrahora is the site of a medieval castle ruin located on Pusztavár Hill near Rimóc and Hollókő in Nógrád County.

The fortress was likely built in the second half of the 13th century by the Kacsics clan and occupied a strategically defensive hilltop position overlooking the surrounding countryside. The castle had a relatively short history. After its owners supported the powerful nobleman Máté Csák against King Charles I of Hungary in the early 14th century, the property was confiscated by the crown.

By 1327, records already referred to Sztrahora as a former castle, suggesting that it had been abandoned and fallen into ruin. Today, only limited remains of the fortress are visible, including traces of walls, defensive earthworks, and a dry moat. Archaeological investigations have helped reveal the layout of the castle and confirmed its importance as a small but significant example of a late Árpád-era stronghold.

Although little of the structure survives above ground, Sztrahora remains an interesting historical site for visitors exploring the scenic Cserhát region and the medieval heritage of northern Hungary.
