Tiszalöki Arborétum is a 31-hectare arboretum located in Tiszalök, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, Hungary, featuring a carefully and precisely assembled collection of trees and shrubs that are now 30-40 years old. The arboretum has identified 164 different tree and shrub species so far, with the total number expected to rise above 200 after complete plant inventory, including several botanical rarities among its collections. Despite the dry plain climate typical of the region, the arboretum benefits from the direct proximity of the Tisza river, which significantly increases humidity, and the approximately 600 mm annual rainfall is well utilized by the plants, making the shade under the tree canopy more comfortable even during summer heat. The park forest creates an ecological island for nature-seeking people, offering a serene green space in the Hungarian countryside. The arboretum is also recognized as a dog-friendly destination where visitors can enjoy quality outdoor time with their pets.
