The Zsolnay Cultural Quarter in Pécs is a large cultural and leisure complex built on the historic site of the Zsolnay porcelain and ceramics factory, turned into one of Hungary’s most significant cultural districts.

It covers about five hectares of beautifully restored industrial and residential buildings where the Zsolnay family lived and worked in the 19th and 20th centuries, now housing museums, galleries, workshops, performance spaces, and a major university arts faculty. The quarter features more than 15 protected heritage buildings and close to 90 public Zsolnay sculptures scattered through its parks and streets, giving every corner an ornate, artistic feel.

Visitors can explore dedicated exhibitions such as the “Golden Age of Zsolnay” and the “Pink Zsolnay Exhibition,” stroll through atmospheric cafés and artisan shops, and enjoy concerts, family‑friendly attractions, and playgrounds, all set around the nearby Zsolnay Mausoleum and the surrounding hills.
